Michelle Ford, American Soprano, is carving her path into Chicago’s brilliant arts scene through lyrical performance throughout the city. With degrees in Opera/Musical Theatre as well as Music Education, she constantly pursues improvement through study under Alexandra LoBianco, whom she has worked with since 2017.

Michelle’s recent performances include two roles in Gianni Schicchi as Maestra Spinelloccia and Notaro (New Moon Opera). She also sang chorus in the double bill showing of Everest/Aleko (Chicago Opera Theater), and continued her work at the Lyric Opera House of Chicago as an actor in Siegfried and a super in I Puritani.

The truest part of performance Michelle has learned is that music is selfless, and her passion resides in the connection she builds across the stage. For this reason, Everest has been one of her favorite shows to date because of the emotionally challenging yet rewarding thread woven between the chorus and audience.

Through song, Michelle believes in fostering a lifelong love of music in others. She offers private lessons to instill confidence in those searching for their voice.
